Hopper Construction

Sewage treatment schemes are not within the scope of every civil construction company as they require special knowledge and expertise.

Cooks Beach

Hopper Construction has this experience and has completed numerous sewer related projects.  The most extensive being the construction of the sewerage treatment plant and irrigation system at Cooks Beach on the Coromandel Peninsula followed by the reticulation of the whole township at Cooks Beach.  This included the construction of 3 retention ponds and a filtration system, together with an irrigation system for the treated effluent to be pumped out into a plantation forest.  The township reticulation included over 5km of  gravity and rising main pipe, both PVC and Polyetherlene, 7 concrete pump stations of various depths along with valve chambers and telemetry installation. All were installed in differcult ground conditions which required extensive dewatering and shoring techniques to provide a safe working environment for staff and to protect the surrounding landscape.

We are also experienced in installing new subdivision sewer reticulation and pumpstations, making connections into existing sewers, replacing or upgrading of existing sewer infrastructure.
